Stephen T. Asma

Stephen T. Asma, Ph.D., is professor of philosophy and interdisciplinary humanities at Columbia College, Chicago, where he holds the title of Distinguished Scholar. In 2003 he was Visiting Professor at the Buddhist Institute in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where he taught Buddhist Philosophy; he studied Theravada Buddhism throughout Southeast Asia, including Shanghai. He is the author of several books, including Buddha for Beginners, and he is regularly invited to give dharma talks at Buddhist temples.
