Watkins Media Limited will be offering its first ever paid internship scheme, starting in January 2020.
The Watkins Internships Scheme will be a six-week long programme in which participants will have the opportunity to work across all three imprints (Watkins Publishing, Repeater Books and Angry Robot Books) as well as the various departments throughout the company. Participants will be paid the London Living Wage and do not require a university degree or previous publishing experience. The scheme hopes to encourage candidates from all over the UK to apply.
Etan Ilfeld, the owner of Watkins Media Limited, said: “We’re excited to have the opportunity to enable people from all backgrounds and all parts of the country to gain valuable experience and insight into the publishing industry. We see this as a win-win. A well paid intensive six weeks can both be transformational and provide Watkins Media with a diverse and creative applicant pool.”
The first formal placement is set to begin the week commencing 27th January 2020. Applications are to be submitted by 13th December 2019. If you would like to apply for the scheme, please email a cover letter and CV to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line ‘Watkins Internship Scheme’.
