This Year Everyday Matters!

The New Year is a great time to do something transformative to mark a new beginning with big intentions. Here Dani DiPirro, blogger and author of Every Day Matters 2016 Diary and The Positively Present Guide to Life reveals her resolution and inspiration for the New Year.
While many people are keen on setting New Year’s resolutions, what I like to do instead is choose a word of the year.
Consider what you want more of in the year ahead – love, inspiration, fun, freedom, etc. – and make that one word a priority for the coming months.
Check in with yourself periodically throughout the year to see if the way you are living (your work, your relationships, your mindset) still aligns with the word you’ve chosen.

As a writer, I’m always trying to read as much as I possibly can, and here are some words of wisdom I’ve come across from some of the wonderfully inspiring books I’ve read this year:’Do whatever brings you to life, then. Follow your own fascinations, obsessions, and compulsions. Trust them. Create whatever causes a revolution in your heart.’
Elizabeth Gilbert, Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear’If you stay in the moment, you’ll have what is called spontaneous right action, which is intuitive, which is creative, which is visionary, which eavesdrops on the mind of the universe.’
Dan Harris, 10% Happier’The question of what you want to own is actually the question of how you want to live your life.’
Marie Kondō, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up
